Happy Bandtober, flutists! Our fabulous flute students at A-State have a few events coming up, and you're invited!
In this newsletter, you'll learn about our 1) All-Region Workshop on Nov. 4, 2) Community Crafts & Cookies event, and 3) the return of our annual Community Flute Choir! We're also excited to share about what we've been up to so far this year. 🎶
We've had some terrific group Flute Studio classes this year! We explored all kinds of music jobs (part- and full-time) to better understand what we can do to earn money with a music degree, we learned how to convey style and characters with a game of musical charades, and had a couple of great classes on how to teach beginner flutists with ease!
A-State flutists also had some great performances recently, too. They performed in a masterclass with Air Force flutist Megan Ensor, performed in Tuesday Morning Recitals, and even created a Halloween music video! Keep an eye on social media - this video will be posted soon! 👀
If you or anyone you know would like flute lessons (in-person or online with Dr. Hoeckley or her students), reply to this email and let us know. We'd love to help you become the best and most joyful flutist you can be!

Flutists at A-State sometimes find it difficult to afford music opportunities farther from home. Your support is always appreciated because it helps students participate in events like the National Flute Convention, regional competitions, and summer music festivals!
We also always appreciate seeing you in the audience! Music is so much more special when we can share it with enthusiastic audiences like you. Thanks for being a part of our flute community!
